The Carousel Clothing Bank provides gently-used clothing to children in the Edmonton area.
The clothing is provided free of charge to families in need for children and youth, aged newborn to 17-years-old.
What are your hours? Where is the Carousel Clothing Bank?
Monday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon)
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
15001 112 Avenue NW
On the bus, take route 125 to 110 Avenue and 149 Street. Walk north two blocks to 112 Avenue, then turn left. Walk until you reach our building.
What clothes are provided?
All clothing comes from donations. This means that we do not have every size all the time.
Most clothes are sized from infants to age 5, for both girls and boys. There is a limited selection of clothing for older children and teens.
In addition to clothing, we also provide shoes, boots, coats, and other outerwear when available.
How can I access the clothing bank?
Our clothing bank is open to all families in need in our community. If you are a caregiver and your children need clothes, please come in!
We will ask you for some information: your name and address, the name and ages of the children, your relationship (parent, grandparent, foster parent, aunt, etc). If possible, please bring ID, such as the children’s health care cards.
How often can our family come?
Families can use the Clothing Bank up to 4 times a year: for spring, summer, fall, and winter.
How many clothes can I take?
In general, you can take enough to clothe an infant, child, or teen for one week. That usually means:
- 10 pairs of shirts
- 5 pairs of pants
- 1 pair of shoes
- 3 sets of pajamas
- 10 sleepers and/or onesies for babies
Limits are “subject to availability”. We have low stock in some sizes, and may have to limit the number of items you can take.
Do you take donations?
Yes please! We gratefully accept donations of any gently-used clothing. We especially need clothing for teenage boys!
We also accept donations of NEW underwear in unopened packages.
Do you have furniture or toys?
No, we do not have furniture. However, if you are in need, please ask during your time in the Carousel. We may be able to find you a few small items, such as a high chair.
We have a small number of toys and games. The limit is one toy item per visit, to ensure everyone has a chance to get one.
The Carousel Clothing Bank is a volunteer-led program run by the Edmonton & District Family Support Association.
